Lithium batteries, nickel hydrogen battery can be choosen. Between 2-4 lithium polymer battery can be serially charged via the balancing connector, a separate connector can be used for NIMH batteries.
Duration of charging control function: You can set up a maximum charge time. If the battery is full earlier, the charger will of course stop charging by then.
Cut off voltage for LIPO charge: Due to temperature shifts it is necessary to adjust the cut off voltage. of the lipo cells. The colder the environment, the lower the batteries cut off voltage. Three values can be choosen: 4.15V, 4.25V,4.35V (the predetermined value is 4.15V).
Charge current: You can adjust the single cells charge current in the following steps: 0.5A, 0.7A, 0.9A, 1.1A
Number of cells: You can adjust the number of cells you want to charge. The charger normally autodetects the cell amount, but in case of any damaged cell this preadjustment is useful to determine those problems.
Polarity protection. The charger will not be damaged by connecting a cell the wrong way. It will display an polarity error message immediately.
Automatic repair function: If a single or multiple lipo cells in your pack were over-discharged and will provide a voltage level lower than 3.7 V, the charger will try to repair this cell. Under a certain voltage there is no chance to repair it, but if so charging it at a normal current will damage it finally. So the charger precharges with a very small current until the battery reaches a voltage level above 3.7V. Afterwards it will power up to full current.
Damaged battery detection: A really damaged cell will not be charged as the charger recognizes it. It will also tell you which cell so you might be able to replace a single cell from your pack only.
Charge results: After charging, the charger will display you the results of the charging cycle, such as duration, voltage and current until you disconnect the battery.

The CPU constantly montitors the actual voltage levels and charge currents. As its ADC are very fast unlike other chargers it does not use comparators to determine voltage levels. Therefore a preprogrammed charging curve can be executed with a high accuracy regarding to the lipo technology specifications.
